На календаре 14 февраля, День Святого Валентина, а это значит, самое время вновь обратиться к теме любви!
Сразу скажу, что материалы для этого задания предложил, а затем и собственноручно подготовил, человек со стороны — автор вебсайта iloveenglish.ru (см. спонсорскую ссылку вверху). В качестве видеоролика взят фрагмент из фильма P. S. I Love You (P.S. Я люблю тебя). Сам я фильм не видел, так что о его художественных достоинствах судить не берусь, но для наших целей вполне достаточно, что в нем говорится о любви, а выбранный отрывок отличает достаточно внятная дикция исполнителя.

left his wife — еще одна распространенная ошибка. Если мы сопоставим события в порядке очередности, то без труда заметим, что «оставление» сообщений предшествовало основной нити повествования! Соответствено, для выражения этой соотнесенности событий во времени мы воспользуемся конструкцией Past Perfect: had left his wife.

a loving heart did not come to a happy end together — почему только одно любящее сердце? Где остальные? Loving hearts did not come to a happy end together.
helped desperate widow — вдова у нас сферическая в вакууме? Нет, о ней уже шла речь ранее. Значит, согласно правилам употребления артиклей, используем определенный артикль the: helped the desperate widow.

Тут надо знать, что глагол to tell означает, с одной стороны, "говорить, рассказывать", а с другой — "приказывать, велеть":
"I told him to get out" — я велел ему убираться = я сказал ему, чтобы он убирался.
Поэтому с учетом предыдущего предложения он как бы говорит ей:
"Мне осталось наказать (от слова наказ) тебе только одну вещь. И это не пойти типа купить себе лампу или там предаться воспоминаниям — ты со всем этим справишься и без меня. Эта последняя вещь — (сказать тебе) то, как ты меня цепляешь, …", и далее по тексту.

Хм, так я думала, что это как задание – как только готов, так и делаешь… А потом можно проверить как раз таки благодаря скрытому текстовому блоку под видео — я видела его местонахождение… я "снимаю" каждый текст, который слушаю перед тем, как делать задание, но транскрибирование предусмотрено только здесь… Спасибо за отметку моей попытки аудирования : ))
